I found this story on the website AliJazeera and couldn’t help but be inspired to share this story.
It has been 10 years since the 9/11 attacks, and since the US launched attacks against the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.
Since then thousands of combatants and tens of thousands more civilians have been killed or wounded. A US army medical team travels by helicopter across the country to pick up casualties, often coming under attack themselves.
On this episode of People & Power veteran cameraman Vaughn Smith travels with the paramedics of the 214th aviation regiment to see how the team provide care to those most in need.
