egarding the disgraceful depiction of Cal Fire women as the role models for firefighters….Can anybody say “STAGED”? This is such a poor depiction of what really goes on in fire stations. No doubt the producers of Oprah’s Lives on Fire spent a copious amount of time with the female fire figthers in order to stage comments and happenings. For one, few of these fire fighting females are known for their spectacular fire fighting abilities. In fact, half portrayed are, in REALITY, known for being complete failures and low grade fire fighting females, but I guess the producers, like most producers, have an agenda, they want a certain race, a certain look and that is all the matters. Gag. SO SICK OF PHONY STAGED Reality TV. This is yet another example of how truth and reality in the fire department is skewed by a bunch of obsessive compulsive desperate gals trying to hold on to their feminine power by pretending females in a otherwise male dominated job, are somehow doing a fabulous job. The REALITY is the female firefighters SELDOM if EVER serve and protect society in the SAME fashion that a MALE firefighter can, that’s just plain old truth baby. Deal with it. You want a 5 2 133 lb female dragging your family member out of a burning house? Or a 6′ 200 lb man dragging your family member out with minutes to spare in a burning builiding? Yep, that’s what I thought. So much for Oprah….excuse me why I VOMIT> And for all you bald headed barricaded pricks who sit in your office and push pencils and papers, yeah, you know who you are, you compromised freaks that talk with the producers and get kickbacks and whatever, you disgust so many it isn’t even funny anymore. GO punch yourselves, and get back in the car.
