Watertown Fire Department, Prairie Lakes Health System and our STEMI Survivor

One thing Ted and I agree on is that we never want to “force” a story because that makes it fake and we want something real and authentic.

So I was just a little bit worried about meeting our STEMI survivor. I imagined a reunion between life-savers and patient, a hug while the cameras were rolling, and it made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

I needn’t have worried. Forest “Mick” Stanton is a South Dakotan. He is what he is and you get what you get. (What you get happens to be a super cool guy who tells it straight).

This story told itself because no one tried to be something they’re not. The experience is making me hungry to tell more stories through this powerful medium! How many amazing stories are out there just waiting to be told?

I couldn’t agree more Tom, I am constantly amazed when mot people in our business understand what we do and they tell a story you begin to think “if only more people knew this, the world could be a better place”
